About Health and Safety Works NI
Health and Safety Works NI, HSWNI, is the small business advisory service of the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland.
Our aim is help small businesses manage workplace health and safety by providing a free and confidential service, offering practical advice from a reliable and trusted source with no threat of enforcement action. Our service is available throughout Northern Ireland to all businesses employing less than 50 people and to organisations within the social economy.
Health and Safety Works NI has a team of advisers who can support businesses across Northern Ireland with any health and safety concerns they might have, such as helping to develop health and safety policies and completing risk assessments. Advisers can visit your business to discuss the specific health and safety issues that relate to your business and offer specialist guidance on how to eliminate and control hazards. If they decide that you would benefit from having your own personal copy of the Construction Pack then a copy will be given to you at no charge. Following a site visit, they provide a detailed report which is an invaluable starting point for building a successful health and safety management programme. There is the option to arrange follow-up visits to discuss progress and seek further assistance as necessary.
Simple sector specific information, templates and worked examples are available to download at any time from the HSWNI website, along with details of upcoming events and workshops which HSWNI are hosting or events they are attending. If you would like to benefit from the free and confidential service then please contact the team.
