Today, IOSH is launching a major new campaign called No Time To Lose. The campaign aims to raise awareness about an issue which many people don’t know about – and that’s how much damage work–based carcinogens can cause.
In the UK alone, almost 14,000 new cases of cancer caused by work are registered each year. There are around 8,000 cancer deaths. Globally, 666,000 people die every year from cancer linked to a work exposure.
To help us lead on tackling this important issue, we’d like to invite all of our training providers to get involved. To support you in playing a part, we’ve produced a 30–minute toolbox talk for you to deliver to your in–house and commercial delegates. This free short course is made up of a PowerPoint presentation, trainer notes and a delegate handout. Look out for the Straw Walk and the Aerosol Challenge too!
